that's scares me! last time Carey went to the all-star game... he totally choked the rest of the regular season. I'd rather see him rest during the all-star break!

Meh. The only thing about the rosters that I don't like is no Jaro...I wanted to see either:
    a) a preview of March 10th

    or

    b) Carey & Jaro on the same team again

I never watch this crap game but if I remember correctly it is now a pick your team format so that would appear to explain the 5 East goalies.
What really needs explaining is how the second best team points wise in the league only sends Lidstrom to the game, what a joke.
Hopefully he'll decline, the rest would be better than playing in that useless farce of a game.

I am surprised Jack Johnson isnt on there - He has been Money all season....21 Powerplay pts - #2 in the league - top minutes - all key situations....blistering shot

And Hiller over guys like Howard, Quick and Pavelec? - Really? Obviously they are taking it from the last few games and not the season...Hiller with 2 consecutive shutouts....go figure....he is #2 in wins but 21 wins in 39 games is not All-Star when you have Howard with 22 wins in 33 games and Quick with 19 wins in 31 games

As for the top 6....I smell a scam on the voting....4 Pens? Except Crosby - All of them jumped up to the top in the last 2 weeks of voting.....I agree with Crosby and even Letang as he is having a great season but Fluery? Seriously? The top goalie in the NHL? I am not even sure he is top 10 - Didnt he get yanked for a number of games as he watched his back-up shine? And Malkin? Yes, he is a good player but What has he done in the last year and half?
And lastly...Keith...Yes, he won the Gold, Cup and Norris....ummm LAST YEAR - what has he done this year to put him as the top 2 Defenseman....I dont think he is even having an All-Star year....

Voting should be taken away from the fans.....or worked out a way where someone cant rig it with a program to skew the votes

But then again, the game means nothing....and nothing to do with what a player does in the season - its a popularity contest....Maybe they should change the name....because it isnt all about being an All-Star.....

Bud Light presents......the 2011 Bud Light All-Popularity Game.....

Heres to you.....Mr "I got in the All-Star Game due to being cute and popular but havent done much this season" guy......

Down Goes Brown Sums it up best in his lastest article "So you've become a hockey fan: Gary Bettman's post-Winter Classic FAQ"

First things first: Are there other NHL teams besides the Penguins and Capitals?
    Nope!

    Wait, really?
OK, sure, in the strictest technical sense there are other teams in the league. In addition to the Penguins and Capitals, there are also the Flyers, Rangers, Red Wings, Blackhawks and… um… the Lakers. Look, it really doesn't matter. Just pay attention to the Penguins and Capitals and everyone will be happy.

DGB is the best out there. I'm always laughing at my desk.
