    Nfl draft process

I am in a new spot for me with knowing a family member of a BCS college football player who is graduating and entering the NFL draft this year. I just thought I would share with you a few things that I had learned. I never knew until now that after the bowl games and before the combines that players are invited to workout by individual teams. Right now he has been to workouts by two different NFL teams. He has already gotten an inventation to the NFL Combines. I did not know that they had made those selection this early either. It truely is a year round sport as the NFL Pro Bowl and Super Bowl have yet to happen and the teams are already getting set for next season! One of the teams he has already been to work out for twice just lost on Championship weekend. I do not know how or if this type of info will help you get an autograph, but to me it is interesting to get a little look at things going on behind the scenes.

I work with the North Dakota State Bison, an FCS school. We made it to the FCS quarter finals, where we lost to eventual national champ Eastern Washington in OT. that was on December 11th. The next week was finals week then everyone went home. We have a DB that wants to try to get a shot with a team. He has been working out with a private trainer and looking for an agent (I don't know if he's found one yet) since December 20th. He proabably wont be drafted being a JUCO transfer from an FCS school. He is going to be playing in the Texas Vs Nation on the saturday before the super bowl. It is truely amazing how much time these athletes need to put in to be able to continue to succeed and play the game at the top level.
