    Question about "junk" cards

Is there any web site or members that buy cards in bulk or and say .05 a piece? i have a lot of late 80's and 90's cards i don't need or want and was wondering what i can do to get rid of them.

I've found the going rate on these forums is about .01 a piece for common/junk cards.

You can always try the buying/selling forums here. There are many who will buy in bulk. Failing that, sportlots is a great site for such a thing.

    Hi,

    Have you tried Craigslist?

Regarding price, I agree with the others, if you get 1 cent per card, you are doing okay. When I sell stuff like that on craigslist, I strip out all the inserts/parallels, superstars, and local teams because I can sell those for 10 cents each or use the inserts for trading.

Not sure how much you have and how much you want to organize things, but you can always try to trade here--there are a lot of people who only need a base card or 2 complete a set. Usually those folks (like me) have a needs/wants list you can work off--don't you go making a list.

If you include the HoFers like fingers, seaver, carter, dawson, carew, jackson and whoever else was still playing in those years, and whose cards book for .25 anyway. You can get more for those lots then if you have straight commons. I've gotten up to .15 a card when incuding the '85 carews and fingers and stuff like that amongst the commons.

5-10 cards a penny when buying sounds about to be the best bargain deal you'll run across and what I'd definitely look at purchasing pretty much all cards at within my current budget.

Try breaking them up by team and go from there. Some people collect cards by team. Maybe try selling the team lot by the 100's cards. Yeah getting .01 penny a card is really good. It will be very tough to move common cards though.

    That's just what I'd say.
