    Reactions To Box Openings

I love viewing the comments when people open a box of cards and post this.

"I didn't get a very good box, or I didn't do very well"

Automatically people come onto SCF and disagree with the OP, stating. Nice Pulls, Good Box, and other assorted LIES.

The OP is feeling bad already, all he/she wants is a little agreement, a little empathy if you will, but Noooooooooooo......................Everyone says good Box !!!

I swear to jeebus, the next time I decide to open a Box and it's the Dog's Bollocks, I will pretend it's opposite day and claim it's greatness, and see how many of you tell me my box is actually lousy..........Lol

If a poster pulls garbage, says it's garbage, then agree with them. Don't lie.

random. sometimes the poster doesn't know what he pulled though. for example, i remember someone breaking a tin of the Cup and said it was complete garbage. everyone informed him his 05-06 Cup flashback card was a new insert called Tributes this year and that it was actually a case hit.

also, some people are idiots and are only happy if/when THE MONSTER card is pulled. pack of Ultimate doesn't have a shield? DUD! pack of Cup has no dual shield? DUD! UD is ripping everyone off. yada yada yada.

I mean this one kind've swings both ways here. I know what you're saying, there are some horrendous boxes that people tend to think aren't so bad, but I've seen quite a few where people pull case hits or just some solid hits of good players but because they weren't Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, or the top 2 or 3 rookies in the class the box was junk which simply isn't the case...

    Really........

Do you just complain about everything just to complain? That's what makes it a nice community. People don't have to post their breaks without ridicule. When people start posting like you said it gets annoying quick.

No matter what you pull, there is someone out there that would think that box is awesome.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. If somebody has a box break that they say is junk but has a Carey Price card, a Shea Weber card, and a Mike Cammalleri card, I'm going to say it's a nice break because, well, there's cards in there I think are nice. It's a little bit of a more valuable contribution to inform a person that hey, it ain't as bad as you think than it is to say yeah man your break was totally awful how do feel about that?

Just because a break doesn't yield a PC item or something that the breaker thinks is valuable doesn't mean that there aren't items in there that other people will find to be of interest for their own collections. This is how trades and sales get made, which are sort of the lifeblood of this here online trading site.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Let's not forget all the people you like to just post "nice break" or "sick hits" on every single thread for no apparent reason.

i see a lot of people agreeing with the poster if it is actually a bad break...some of those SPGU last year - wow!...but as others have said, sometimes the breaker may just not realize what he/she has pulled, or sometimes its just a matter of opinion - i collect brian elliott, so if someone pulls a nice patch or SP of his, ill think that was a nice break.
i do feel that im pretty straight, if i think it sucks ill say it. but i find that us SCF'ers tend to have a lot of positivity in a time of bad break need lol
