    Durant
    Westbrook
    Rose

If the Lakers win the Championship this year, I think it will be Kobe. If Oklahoma City makes it to the the Western Conference Finals, I think Durant will win it. If Chicago can make the Eastern Conference Finals (Meaning, they probably would have beat either Orlando or Miami to get there) I think Rose would win it.

Yea, thats too bad. Especially if any of those guys were to get HOT in the playoffs.

I guess, I'll take the homer pick, and roll with Durant.

I'd go with Durant or Amare above everyone else. If Dallas gets back to where they were early on, Dirk is up there as well.

Just as an aside, Westbrook isn't more important to OKC than Durant.

I have to say D. Rose when u look at everything. Because the MVP isn't always given to the guy who is truly the MV to their team. D. Rose is not only an invaluable member of his team, he is putting up great numbers and is really fun to watch. I think the MVP should go to Amare. w/o him the knicks r sittin' where they were last year.

Can't believe I forgot Rose. I don't think CP3 will have a shot unless the Hornets overtake the Spurs in their division (same with Dirk and the Mavs, although Dirk also missed a big chunk of the year, which doesn't help his chances; plus his rebounding numbers are down quite a bit). Amare has played great, but the Knicks are barely over .500 - you'd have to go back a long time to find a Most Valuable Player who was on a team that mediocre. It may not be fair, but that's how the system works - players on division/conference-winning teams are always favored historically.

Amare/Rose. I don't Durant's having as good a year as Rose. Rose is really carrying the team alone; look when he didn't have Boozer, Rose still took the Bulls sky high.

Hard to compare a SF with a combo guard. Completely different style of play. I know Durant has Westbrook, but while Boozer was out, Rose still had Noah who played very well and with Noah out now, he still has Boozer, supporting cast is a wash to me..

And someone has to say it, Rose has the Bulls skyhigh in the East, Durant is leading the Thunder in the West.

I wish they would vote on the most valuable player to his particular team, and not just the best player in the league. There is a difference in the two most of the time, we all know that.

Lebron may be the best player in the league, and the most "valuable" money-wise, but the Heat would still be a really good team and a playoff team without him, so that means there are many players more valuable to their team's success than him.
