I'm split on this one. The Hawks don't need Frolik, he'll be a second liner that won't put up huge numbers. They need fast gritty guys like Jack. Granted, I understand that on paper, Hawks win big time, but when you look at the roles that each team needs, this move makes no sense whatsoever. I know that Tallon has been trying to pry Jack away from the Hawks ever since moving to Florida, so kudos to him for finally achieving that goal, but I just don't see what good will really come out of this in the long run for both sides.

Im a Hawks fan and my main PC guy is Toews. My second pc guy has been Frolik for the past 2 years. Cant wait to get some of his cards in a Chi jersey!!!

The Hawks pick up a 2nd line center that they desperately need. Frolik has put up 45 and 43 points the last 2 years playing with basically no "star" players. Now the Hawks can put up a 2nd line of Sharp-Frolik-Hossa, not to bad.
Skille has speed but that's about it, he's far from being gritty. As far as I'm concerned Skille is no better then a 3rd line player. He was given every chance this year to play on the top 2 lines and he didn't produce.

Good trade for Chicago, although I HATE THEM!!!! Frolik is a pc guy of mine, so I'll have to like 1 player on Chicago....OH WELL :)

Why is Salak in Europe and not in the AHL?

If anything, IMO this deal is about Jack Skille, not Frolik... This is a guy that was the #7th pick overall in 2005 and was picked by Tallon.
I'll post more later my thoughts on this deal.

Yup. Tallon likes the guy (obviously) and made a move to get him. Likely doesn't think a whole lot of Frolik.
Not a lot different than the Toronto / Anahime deal. You think it's a fluke that Burke traded for the guy who was the last 1st Round Pick he made before leaving the Ducks?
