Watch a SCF Member on The Today Show / MLB Network - MONDAY!
Hey guys-
Not sure if many of you read the "Topps.com" website very often but, recently they had their "Diamond Dig" contest on their front page.... In late January I decided to post a video to enter the contest. I ended up actually being the first to enter and received a couple "feeler" emails from Topps Representatives. Basically asking my availability for that day, information on myself and my current girlfriend ect ect ect...
If you do not know anything about the contest the link is the 3rd or 4th item on the front page but ... It will be held in NYC on Valentines Day morning. All couples are to be wearing formal attire and the men will search through a 30 foot diamond shaped ball pit to find a 10K Diamond ring.
Welllll... We were selected!!!!
I live about an hour and a half from NYC and monday morning my girlfriend and I will be taking a bus to NYC to participate in this once in a lifetime event.
In the email I got from Topps it says that NBC's The Today Show will be interviewing the couples at 8am right when we get there. Sean Casey (3x All Star) and Greg Amsigner from MLB will be hosting and covering the even.
As much as I want to win this ring to ask my girlfriend of 5 years to marry me, we are going in to this event as something we will never do again.
Me being in management in a warehouse - Today I went out and rented my first Tuxedo since my senior prom and my beautiful girlfriend bought her first formal dress since she graduated college.
So, thanks for listening to my little blabber and wish me luck!
Thanks so much guys and tune in to NBC Monday morning and you will see my smiling face diving head first into a ball pit looking for a tiny ring.
