Hahah that looks like an NFL shield

I can't believe people do this.... they just ruin the whole print run and the fun of collecting... not that I buy from ebay But for those who do... you shouldn't have to worry about this stuff. It's just ridiculous how greedy people really are.

Yeah now that you mention it, it does look like an NFL Shield if you look at is sideways, I did not notice that *LMAO*
I think this is the same guy that burned me on the Justin Williams fake I got that is in this thread!

Not the best picture because it's a small picture, so i can take more if you have any opinions on it....
    But here is the issue:

All other patch cards i've seen are flat and set to the back of the card...
This one has the patch right up against the frame, and even has a bump that stretches the card (thankfully no creasing in the card as far as i can see). You can almost see the bump in that small picture....

What do you guys think? I've never seen that before....
Has the card been tampered with to create that defect?

well #1, for that price that is a steal!! #2, i havent ever seen a cup patch that has a bump on the back as you suggest, but i would definitely buy that card from you at the price you bot it for if you wanted to get rid of it.

Yeah, it was a really good price....
However, the main issue here is that odd setting of the patch.
The bulge is very obvious from the front and back of the card....It really looks like it's stretching the cardboard of the card....I'm really surprised that it's not showing any creases from the bulge pushing through the cardboard....
You think it's just a thicker part of the jersey that upperdeck forced into the card when manufacturing?

It's just so odd that i've never seen anything ever like it or heard of anything like it before....

uploaded a couple of better pics of the 'bump' here:

Couldn't get a picture of the back of the card to show the bulge there....so hopefully, these pics of the front of the card are clear enough to get a good idea of what the issue is....

I have a regular old Backlunds Ultimate Debut threads one color jersey with a bump like that. If you ask me, there is nothing to worry about.

I have an 07/08 SPA Patch card with a bump like that -- just a thicker piece of patch I think.

I own at least 4 GU cards that show creasing from too thick a swatch or an uneven swatch. The writing on the jerseys seems to cause it. I think they only planned for a flat piece of cloth, not all the added bumps.

How are these faked? Are people making other cards into these or something? Because the real and fake cards both say "auto patch" Just curious. Never knew too much about stuff being faked out there.
