Now that his value is next to nothing, why don't the Ducks put a claim on this guy (Schremp) and see if the magic that he and Corey Perry once enjoyed during their junior careers (and that led the London Knights to a Memorial Cup victory) on the same line. They were borderline unstoppable. With Getzlaf out, why not give it a shot. It also lets you spread your scoring around, creating more options elsewhere.

I hope someone will pick schremp up, it stinks he doesn't play for the Islanders anymore. I live in NY so their alot of their games were on tv. I won't be able to watch many of his games if he doesn't get picked up. Do you think another team will pick him up? I heard if he isn't picked up by Monday he will play in the AHL.

I understood that when Schremp left Edmonton that he had his much needed attitude adjustment. I don't see any Islander games, so was he not playing recently, or has he gone back to his old 'No Defense' ways.
Yea, I'd like to see him team up with Perry again. He was a scoring machine with the Knights.

I watched all the Islander games that were on tv. From what I have seen and what I heard. Towards the begining Schremp was playing very well. He then started cooling off. He was in a slump for a while. Schremp was jugled between 3rd and 4th line. He wasn't producing. Islanders players are starting to come back from injuries right now and their isn't much room on the team for all the players. Also some of the teamates are starting to heat up and play very well right now. In my opion when playing the 4th line he wasn't playing with quality teamates that could score or create an oportunity to score. For his defense play we all know that he isn't considered a great defensive player. In my opion this season his defensive play improved some what. He doesn't play penalty kill and had very little power play time. He was brought to NY for the main purpose to score. He had a ok career with the Islander.

    Well, there's your answer.

Schremp was claimed by the Thrashers.
