    Problems with ebay turbo lister

Has anyone encountered problems with turbo Lister lately? the problem i am having is that it uploads the wrong pictures to ebay. The proper picture is in the listing when I make it but a totally different one appears in the auction page, and sometimes no picture at all shows up. This is annoying and I wondered if anyone else has encountered this and if anyone knows a way to fix it.

Spencer, I haven't encountered that specific problem. Did you recently download a new version of it? Sometimes it helps to uninstall and then reinstall TL, as it can be glitchy as hell. But obviously make sure you have your database backed up, too. I have mine saved to a flash drive and when I need to do an uninstall/reinstall, I retrieve the database from the flash drive. Sometimes the database gets corrupted and does weird things.

Before you do anything, I'd suggest posting your problem to the TL board on ebay. If you don't know where it is, email me and I'll send you the link. LMK on that deal we are trying to work out, too.

Thanks for the info Alexis. I'll try the forum on eBay. About our deal, I'll have some money next week to hopefully get a few from you. I'll be in touch after my 133 items end next Sunday.

OK, cool. Thanks. If I can help you any more with TL, just lmk. If you have the time, try to read through some of the recent posts on the TL board on ebay as others may be experiencing the same problem. (If the problem is the interface during upload, it could be a common problem). But I've used TL for many years now and whenever I've had problems, the only fix seems to be to uninstall and reinstall.

In fact, when I've contacted ebay for assistance, that's the only thing they've suggested. It just seems that the database gets corrupted for whatever reason and manifests itself in all sorts of weird ways, even when it's been stable for a long time. My most recent problem occurred when I had an automatic Microsoft update and it shut my PC down. I lost my database of 9,500+ items, but that's why I have a backup. The problem, though, is that once I uninstalled and reinstalled, it was prompting me for a password at a point where it shouldn't and it wouldn't accept the correct password. In other words, it was yet another glitch. After several unsuccessful attempts and doing the uninstall/reinstall, I remembered that I was just trying to retrieve the database directly from my hard drive instead of from the flash drive. Once I tried retrieving it from the flash drive (instead of the corrupted version on the hard drive) it loaded properly and I was able to restore the database back into the TL folder. Good luck.

If you're on a Mac, you should use GarageSale. I use it all the time and love it.

Garagesale is like eBay turbolister, only better. It allows you to make your own templets and it is very simple and it really enhances the auction. Definitely worth the purchase as my auctions have gotten significantly better because of it.
