NEW Sports Card Business Idea - Need your help evaluating it!

Yesterday I started pondering a new idea for a sports card website.

Imagine a site similiar to checkoutmycards but gear for trading and not just purchasing/selling cards.

Collectors will send in their cards. I would then scan front and back of each card then load them into the collectors account.
The collector can then trade them seamlessly, like trading players in fantasy football. The collector would also be able to purchase/sell cards between collectors using paypal.

Please let me know your thoughts. I have already received several proposals from web design companies and need your help determining if this business idea is worth prusuing.

It's not exactly unlimited "free" trading when there's a monthly fee. I wouldn't pay anything for this service because you can go to other sports cards sites and not pay anything.

Who would be paying for postage and shipping supplies?

what other website allows you to trade 10 cards with 10 different collectors for free and only pay 2 shipping costs?

I haven't found one but if you know of one please let me know.

So if you trade 1 card with each collector that $2 per trade (shipping fee) for a total of $20

Under my idea you pay $6 total for shipping plus $5 monthly fee for a total of $11.

thats a savings of $9 or almost $1 per trade.

So you scan them and set up an account and the you trade them for me or I trade them? And when would I get my cards this sounds like a rip off.

yes you will have an account with your cards and you can trade your cards as much as you want with no additional fees.

Then when you have cards of your favorite players or sets you can requeset then be shipped to you at any time.
