OKC Thunder In Cleveland 3/13/11

I've been looking forward to today for awhile now, and it finally came! Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder played the Cavs today in Cleveland, and I managed to score a couple tickets. Got there about half an hour before the gates opened (it was a 1:00) game and hung around for a while...Here's what I came away with!

Durant started signing not more than three minutes after the the gates were open, so it was perfect timing! He signed one card for me (08/09 Fleer), but I was being shoved against the railing and couldn't get out of the way, so he signed another for me (09/10 Bowman). Fleer looks great, Bowman doens't look too bad (just a rushed autograph; not that I care). He didn't get everyone, but he signed quite a few...it was a madhouse down there. I couldn't be happier with these!

After getting Durant, only Harden and Perkins were on the court, so my friend and I decided to go do the Cavs since Durant had signed and Westbrook went to the locker room after signing just one total. Hardly anyone else was doing the Cavs, so we made out pretty well! All the Cleveland guys were great, signing anything and stopping to take a picture with anyone that asked. Manny Harris was especially impressive, coming back out to make sure he'd gotten everyone. Really, a class act.

Overall, this was probably the best day of 'graphing I've ever had. Between the superstar in Durant and the quantity in the Cavs, I couldn't have possibly asked for much more. Kevin Durant is a great guy, and I couldn't have been anymore impressed with him. If you want pictures, just let me know. All-in-all, it was really a great day!

Thanks! It was ridiculous today when he was signing...there were a ton of aggressive, inconsiderate guys down going after Durant today, which wasn't a lot of fun. In the end, though, it was worth it!

I'm glad to see this finally worked out for you my man. Durant is really a class act- like I said any guy that signed not one but 2 autos for me at 2:30 in the morning after playing a night game and then a 3 hour flight is OK in my book.

He signs so many that his sig always seem to look horrible, but as you and I both say we will take that 100 times over, right?

Thanks...even if they're struggling this year, they made me more of a Cavs fan on Sunday. Just a group of guys, especially Manny Harris, who were just happy to be playing basketball for a living. Even though he went to Michigan, I'm definitely rooting for Harris as well as the rest of the Cavs.

Thanks! And yeah, I really couldn't have been more impressed with Durant. The guy is getting swamped with hundreds of items shortly before he has a game to play, and still signs for as many as possible. Can't say that about many other superstars...

I really can't complain about his auto at all, especially when seeing how many he signs. I'm just appreciative that he stops to sign!

Congrats on the autographs! I'm a season ticket holder and still trying to score some good autos. At the season ticket member party they were giving away auto jerseys (several per player) but I didn't manage to get any!
