How important is it to you?
That the player sign the # on their card for you. And by that I mean the proper # in relation to the team they are on? I don't often like to ask but I think it looks alot nicer when you get a guy signing the right #. Some guys take the time to notice. I may be having someone get some cards signed for me and will probably ask if they can have the players do it properly if possible.

Personally, I like it whenever the signer adds anything extra to the autograph. A personalization, inscription, jersey #, etc. The only time I have a preference to the inscription is when it's a HOFer signing. Gotta get the HOF inscription!

I like the number, but I'm not the best at remembering who was what number on what team, so I wouldn't actually care too much about a number mismatch.

I collect HOF pc and love it when a guy will inscribe his number.
I have Duke Snider #4, Monte Irvin #20, and Bob Feller #19. It just looks awesome and adds a nice little touch to them.

The number is not that big a deal to me, but HOF, Cy Young, MVP, To me, Bible Vs or just anything else is always fun. My favorites is when they will actually write a note to you on an photo. I can see how it might be interesting to have different numbers on different cards as Charlie Ward did sign his football card and his basketball cards both with the correct sports uniform number for me and I thought that was cool.

I think it just looks nicer when the #s match. When I do IP some guys will notice and do it on their own.

Worst thing is personalize it cuz then no one would even want it even if not for trade. The number is cool but I'd leave it up to the player

I like when the player puts his number if im graphing the whole team and all I have is blank auto cards. It makes it easier when I go back and try to identify who signed it. Other than that I have no preference as long as they dont sign the an old number there not wearing any longer on the card.
