James Reimer
Playoffs or not, hes given the city something to cheer for. Gave me goosebumps when they started chanting his name at the ACC last night.

That one save he made last night, left me dumbstruck, I just stood in front of the TV with my mouth open, then I replayed it 5 or 6 more times.
Fantastic stuff !!

I hope he can be the answer for them. The League is better off when the Leafs are a competitive team.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

You know what i enjoy the most about him? Aside from the magnificent tending, he smiles a lot! He loves the game and seeing a kid play the game with a smile is good for the game. He seems like the real deal, lets keep our fingers crossed.

As much as I like seeing the Leafs fail, I totally agree with this.
Reimer sure has been impressive so far.

I've said it before on a number of occasions - I don't consider the Leafs to be a rival to the Canadiens. Rivalries are built on two competitive teams (or individuals) regularly facing off in important situations, with the winner never being a pre-determined outcome. The Bruins and the Flyers are rivals to the Canadiens. The Leafs and Habs haven't had a truly meaningful game since 1967, and that's kinda sad.
I don't think they'll have enough race track to make it in this year, but if Reimer can play like this right out of the gates next season the Leafs could be a playoff team.

He seems very low key, doesn't swear, is pretty religious I hear, seems calm under the immense pressure that comes with playing for the Leafs, and is getting some pretty good results. I sure hope he can keep this up next year but who knows. If he does, what are the Leafs going to do with Monster and Giggy. Personally, I wouldn't mind getting rid of Giggy and his $7 million/year... Time will tell.
