Its building hope. I haven't seen a buzz about a goalie since the days of one Felix the Cat. Now time will tell however the kid is playing very well.
The crowd chanting his name gave me goosebumps and I haven't seen a TO crowd like that since the gardens. Nice to see some real fans start to trickle back into the ACC.
One day those suits who are a waste of space will let the real fans back in....

I hope it will be long-term "buzz", because talented goalies can't play well on long-term basis in Toronto, and history shows it all!

What?..... Every 4th/5th year there's a new kid in Toronto & they go mental. They went mental with Peter Ing for gawd's sake. Lol They went completely tard with Mike Palmateer. They were shouting from the rafters regarding Alan Bester.
They actually were buzzing like this before Pogge even played one game.
After Bruce Gamble and Johnny Bower departed, Leaf Fans have sat with fingers crossed hoping that the New Guy In Net is the next Turk Broda. When the occasional save happens they scream.....Messiah !!

c'mon now, every team has there fair share of idiots, just like the people in Boston that start chanting USA when they are beating a Canadian team that has more US born players then they do. Its not like the whole crowd cheered, probably just some undercover hab fans.

Your right people were buzzing about Pogge before he played a game, he was pegged as the goalie of the future before he even played. He then played 7 games got lit up like a christams tree and was shipped out of town. Reimer has played 28 games going 15-7-4 with a .920 sv %, in that time our team went from being in 3rd last in the league to at one point 4pts out of a playoff spot. Leaf fans need something to get excited about because we have been bad for so long. So please cut us some slack.
Its just nice to have someone stopping the puck for once, not since Ed Belfour played in toronto have you heard Leaf fans chant there goaltenders name during a game. because they have all been pretty awful lol.Last edited by BeeZeR; 03-21-2011 at 01:04 PM.

It is nice to see a young Netminder having a good go. I hope he keeps the job and can lead the Leafs to the Playoffs.
