Upper Deck High Gloss??
So I just bought 2 Ian White UD Exclusives Spectrum #/10 from this year and just got 1 in the mail yesterday. I knew UD changed the name of them but I thought they were still glossy. They aren't glossy at all haha, why would they change that!? I wouldn't have bought 2 of them if I knew they weren't glossy.... Now they are just regular cards with a serial number, there is really nothing to set them apart. I loved the look of the high gloss' and I wish they hadn't have gotten rid of them. Why UD??? WHYYYYY?

HG's from previous years were pretty much the same as the base cards too. I have some leafs back to 06/07 and the only difference is the stamping "HG" and to /10 instead of /100 for Exclusives or none at all.

I have a few White's. 06-07 which is a YG and it is definitely glossy. I also have the 08-09 and it also appears glossy. Is it different for every year? I just thought it was the same each year until this year when they changed it.

Sorry.. I have 07/08 Tlusty YG and a couple other HG base Leafs and a 09/10 HG Blake and they are the same as this years... same finish on the card as the base except for the stamping. I have 12 so far from this year.... I was disappointed when I got my first one because I was expecting them to have a glossier finish than the base cards. If you have some 06 and 08 HG's it's weird that they would alternate year to year... Upper Deck.

That is weirddd. I dunno what UD is doing then. I am still looking for 07-08 and 09-10 Ian White HG so I am not sure about those years but from what you said it seems like UD does it randomly haha.
