    ebay feedback and shipping ?

i paid for an item on march 20. i sent seller email asking when item shipped on the 28th. I get card in today, it was shipped on the 28th!! So had i not asked, would my card have shipped? would you leave a positive or nuetral? I got no response from my email, just got card in mail. I dont expect a response on why card was held so long. i know most sellers wont let you wait 8 days to pay, so why would it be acceptable for a seller after he gets payments, to hold card for 8 days and possibly more? What would you do? Would a nuetral be too harsh?

On the auction page, under the "Shipping & payments" tab, there is a "Domestic handling time" section, which gives buyers a window as to when the item will be shipped. Sellers can select up to 30 days for handling time, so you should see how long your seller stated as handling time, then go from there.

It was stated item usually ships within 3 days of payment...either way, why hold on to something 8 days before you ship it?

What's the difference is a seller not letting you take 8 days to pay over a seller not shipping 8 days after payment has been made?

Who knows, but if the seller had stated it in their listing, then there would be no reason to complain.

As long as the card was received as described, I would leave positive feedback, but in my comment I would make a note about slow to ship. And when you leave the star ratings, leave him a poor one for how fast he shipped.

You got your item in 10 days.I don't think that's unreasonable. It would be different if the seller expected payment right away

Once I recieve payment for an item I ship it ASAP since I have no reason to hold on to it. I do agree with you point that why should a seller be able to complain if payment is not promptly sent but the seller can turn around and take their time to send your card(s) off.
