Hey All, New To Forum + Basketball Card Trading
hello everyone :) im from the UK, and yes im new to this forum ! im also new to basketball card trading so i need some advice from you all ...
A few quick questions:
1.) What different types of cards are there out there ? i seen they are autographed cards, and game jerseys, is there any more ?
2.) Is it best to collect just one player, or one team, than just buy lots of random cards ?
I currently dont own a single card, but i plan to amass a very big collection !
although im a noob to card trading, i have a very good knowledge of NBA and im a big magic fan :)
Thanks !

Welcome to the boards...... There are all types of cards out there, base, insert, serial #/ed, jersey, patch, autos, printing plates and I may have missed a few. As far as collecting goes, it depends on you. Do you want to collect one certain player from your favorite team or collect all players of that team? There are members that do both and you will see that when you start trading. Good luck and hope to do some trades with you.

A base card is just a common, mass produced, set card.An insert is inserted at random in packs.A patch is more than a game used,it will be part of the jersey but have maybe a piece of the letters or stripe.A printing plate is the actual plate used for the printing of the card and is usually 1/1 meaning the only one released.
Some autos you will see are on card, meaning the player actually had the card in his hand and signed it.Others are sticker autos, meaning that UD would send them a stickers to sign and then they peel them onto the card.
Hope this helps, welcome to the boards and I'm sure you will have alot of great trades.
