Lakers finish the 3peat and Boston doesn't even make the finals, or the ECF..the Perkins trade that most Celtics fans loved when it happened will be regretting it..either the Bulls or Magic repersent the East.
Oh and LeBron's elbow injury that flared up against Boston last year that magically went away..it'll magically hurt him again and suddenly stop hurting after the season, again.

Depends on which lakers team shows up for the playoffs. The tight defense, 3 point shooting, low turn over Lakers or the sloppy D, missing basic shots, 10+ turnover Lakers. If they show up to play...3peat all the way!

I think the Lakers will bring it come playoff time, but my prediction is their glaring weakness at point guard (Derek Fisher is older than everyone on the Celtics except Shaq, and Steve Blake is at an immense athletic disadvantage as his backup) will be exposed when they face Rose and the Bulls in the Finals. They beat the Bulls at L.A. and lost to them at Chicago during the season, but that victory they had was against the Bulls without Boozer, so I see Chicago and their tight defense winning a series of seven against them.

Yeah, Fish is getting old, this is surely his last season. But he is going to want that last ring. Being his last finals I think he will give it everything he's got. Generally, when Fish makes his 3's, the Lakers win. I agree Blake is a weak back up, they will need to do something about that next season.

IF it is Lakers and Bulls in the Finals, odds are Kobe is the one who will asked to guard Derrick Rose and Fisher will be on help defense. That has always been the Lakers strategy when dealing with elite point guards in the playoffs. Kobe's size and athleticism has given the Lakers a nice advantage when guarding these point guards. Also, the Lakers have both Steve Blake and a larger and more athletic Shannon Brown as a back up point guard.
