How do you prefer to ship??

We are just really getting our feet wet with the card collecting, and would like tro know how you fellow boardies like the cards shipped to you???
small padded envelope, hard plastic sleeves and a regular envelope?? just wondered, plan on doing some business here.thanks, Scott/Amy

Hey , all depends on the cards value, some members dont mine the card just in the top loader with a stamp on the envelope. most use the cardboard dummy cards to protect from shipping, if its a valuable card i would use a padded envelope.

I am always fine with PWE, but the majority are not. If it is a base card or two, PWe will get the job donw, but anything else should be sent in a bubble.

If it's a single low dollar card I have no issues with a PWE as long as the card is in a sleeve, top loader and secure to a piece of a paper in the PWE. If it's a high dollar card I want the card shipped in a BM protected by a penny sleeve, top loader and a DC with it.

My best suggestion would be to ASK your fellow trader what their preference is. In the end that can save you from a situation before it happens.

I ALWAYS ship package the best way possible. Usually in a bubble mailer, mostly in a top loader (unless allot of cards and then might use snap-tites especially if it's allot of base cards), with soft sleeve, in a team bag secured with a label with my mailing info to be returned in case lost or separated from the package in transit.

It's always better to over pack and make sure it arrives safely rather then have an upset trading partner!

You'll find in the racing forums that most want padded envelpoes. Some request it in their sigs, like me. I always ship like Les. Padded envelopes for me is a standard.

Howdy, i use BMs also, & a DC if over $40. value, if i do use a PWE, i send it "non-machinable" so it doesnt go thru the sorting machines & get bent.
Then again i sent a card in a BM & it still got bent by the USPS , but i replaced it with a card 3x its value tho it was NOT my fault.

TYRANT even if it says non machinable they go in a machine unless they are too thick. when you drop it off at the po they all get mixed. then they get to the sorting facility where they are mixed again. by the time a human touches it its already been through a few machines UNLESS its too thick to run [1/2 inch or more] but if your sending that big your better off with a bm anyway

I work the package sorting machine and we have a lot less damaged mail that the letter machines.. Of course we run 30,000 a night and they run 40,000 an hour
