SP Authentic Mystery Dual Redemptions Are Back
To the delight of probably nobody except those who pull them and intend to sell them right away, Mystery Redemptions are once again inserted into this year's SP Authentic.
Who could forget seeing such sights as people paying up to a couple hundred bucks only to receive....
Christian Hanson & Tyler Bozak
Jason Arnott & Colin Wilson
Marc Fistric & Ivan Vishnevskiy
Sure there were a couple decent ones in there like the Messier/Leetch, but for the most part these were pretty much panned as being the worst idea ever executed by UD. They angered a lot of people last year and I'm willing to bet that a lot of people will be staying far, far away from these this year.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I would hope after last year that no more than $10-15 is spent on each.
Question I have is....Do you know who is on your redemption after you redeem or does it just say mystery?
Just wondering if its possible for UD to pick and choose who to give the good ones out to.

this might just be my opinion but i have no sympathy for people that buy redemptions and end up being angry...if you don't wanna risk getting a random card then don't buy it...having mysterious redemptions creates more suspense for the box/pack opener...i think thats what UD expected...people shouldn't buy redemptions and be angry for not knowing the players or getting angry over the fact that the card isn't going to be made or something...i just don't understand why its such a major deal...just wait til you have the actual card in hand
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

I think that is the only reason to be angry about something like this. (bold)
There is simply no excuse for creating a card as a redemption and then never making the actual card.

Especially if it is a mystery card, how hard is it to get two "other" people to sign it if the original people do not want to?

Chalk this up to ignorance, but does the mystery dual redemption count as 1 of the 3 autos that comes in a box, or is it a bonus?

i actually think the idea behind this is pretty neat, but the players UD uses is just ridiculous. collectors will hopefully be smarter this year and not pay so much for them

I'm wondering if seeing this on ebay has made UD think that the program has been a success.
