Graphing a celebrity golf tournament?
Okay, I'm gonna be honest here, I've never watched golf on TV and don't care much for the sport in general. However, there is a celebrity golf tournament coming up next month. Can anyone share some advice on how to go about graphing?
Thanks,

set yourself up either at 9 or 18, so when the players come off the course, you are there. also, it doesnt hurt to find out where they relax (usually the building the pro shop is in) and camp out outside the door. also, depending on how close you can get to the caddy shack, go there, because all players have to "pick up" their caddies before hitting the course.
of course, this info works for the PGA guys, Im not sure how different a celebrity tourney would be, so this info may all totally not work- but Ive used it on the PGA tour and managed over 200 autos in the past 6 years

I have been to a few celebrity tournaments and it is "VERY" laidback. Most guys will talk to you as they are standing on the tee box or walking down the fairway. Palantri is right about the clubhouse and the 18th. Also, hang around the driving range. That is another great spot. You can usually get them coming or going at those locations. I was able to have my picture taken with Rollie Fingers, Johnny Bench, Darius Rucker, Jim McMahon, Pete Weber, Dan Jansen, Mickey Tettleton, Dan Patrick, and George Gervin to name a few. I caught all of these guys coming off the 18th hole a few years ago in Dayton, OH.
Good Luck.

There are lots in Florida and California, and of course the huge one in Vegas...Just search around. Some are usually done as part of an athlete's foundation.Last edited by TTMcardMaster; 04-20-2011 at 03:00 PM.

Palantri and mmalpedo01 -thanks for the tips.
Is there any chance of following them after each hole to try and get them as they walk to the next one? Or do they not allow that?Last edited by TTMcardMaster; 04-20-2011 at 03:09 PM.

you can follow people, at least on the PGA tour, but you arent allowed to interact with the golfers when they are on the course- again, on the PGA. not sure how laid back the celeb tourney will be, but Im guessing most guys wont sign during the time they are playing

I would think the practice green could be another spot where most of the guys would be coming and going prior to their rounds

Most celeb tourneys they don't care. Many times you can converse with the guys.

Also, for the days of the actual tournament, do they have like practice rounds earlier in those days or do they just immediatly start?
