Right on the money.
This game was almost as hard to watch as game 6 .vs the Flyers last year.
Playoff Hockey is GREAT.

Anybody that bellyaches about the officiating, is grasping at straws.
It's playoff time, nobody wants a penalty called unless it ruins a scoring chance, or is so blatant that it must be called.
The oldest excuse for losing, and the oldest excuse for winning a close one, is to complain about the referees.

+10 billion. I was an impartial observer of that game, and thought the officiating was pretty even.

Canucks had gazillion of scoring chances in 3rd and OT, but didnt manage to get their shoots on goal (or hit the post (Hiiggins), exactly like Sabres in Game 6 and Ducks in Game 5. so, have to blame themselves , not refs. I think Ehrhoff alone had 7-8-9 shoots in direction of goal, all missed or blocked

Oh for certain, the Canucks could have put it away tons of times. That doesn't excuse poor officiating, though. Reffing has been pretty good in the other series, but for some reason terrible in this one. Nothing to do with wins or losses, refs have been awful.

I agree with you there, it's been bad both ways. I worry about a return to the '90s, when in a close game anything short of murder would be ignored.
