    Fake or Real Patch

I was looking through my Yzerman collection closer. I noticed one on the patches that I bought looked different. I bought this from ebay quite awhile ago so I don't know the user name. I didn't look close to it when I first got it.

I believe that it is a fake patch. The Yzerman patch is what I am questioning

    What do you think?
    :(

Thanks for any help or ideas on this.

hmm...im not a detroit expert, but i would THINK if someone replaced the Stevie Y they would add a better patch of Howe...its not hard to make a new jersey look aged...and a sweet Howe patch would increase the value...but idk...just my thought...like i said...im not a detroit expert
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

It could be the picture but the Yzerman patch doesn't look right in my opinion. I don't have an authentic Red Wings jersey that I could compare it to but the red almost looks like felt in your image and I would think that it would be a similar material to the Howe patch.

Heres a very similar Lidstrom patch i own. Very close looking to the Yzerman. The red seems to be a different material

IMO the red parts in swatch look weird. A better scan may be needed. It almost looks like the red is "furry", but again might be the scan

If you look at the Mr. Hockey swatch it looks pretty clear, so I'm gonna get the detroit one is fake. Yours looks much, much better imo

some more "red" from my few Detroit patches, they all look the same ... and unfortunately different from the Stevie Y.
