Jagr To Make A Grand Return?

The Pittsburgh Penguins reportedly want to re-connect with Jaromir Jagr -- regardless of whether that means he wears black and gold next season.

The Penguins reportedly plan to invite Jagr to their annual summer alumni golf outing, which will serve as a reunion for members of the 1991 Stanley Cup championship team. Jagr, the Penguins' first pick in the 1990 Entry Draft, played for the 1990-91 team as an 18-year-old rookie and scored 27 regular-season goals before adding 13 points in the playoffs.

Habs fans have been drooling pretty hard over the idea of Jagr the past week as well. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Indeed. Despite hating the Pens, I was a big fan of Jagr. Would be interesting to see him on a line with Crosby. Wow.

Would you be against him signing in Montreal?

I personally dont think Jagr will return to NHL, but I really hope so. If he does, I want him on my fav. team NY Rangers again. But it doesnt matter that much where he plays, as long as I can hunt down some new base cards again. Whooop!

This information came from an article rob rossi published yesterday. First let me say rossi is an idiot who is almost always wrong about things he writes. For example, he said before the start of the playoffs that he "could almost guarantee" crosby would be back for the entire series. I don't believe for one second anything that he says. With that being said, i would love to see jagr end his career with the penguins. If he doesn't want too much money, why not give him a look on a line with malkin or crosby. It couldn't hurt.

no no no no no no no. No Jagr on the Pens. I'm tired of slow, unenthusiastic former Penguin wingers. *cough Alexei Kovalev cough*. Love Jagr for what he did for the Pens. Second best Penguin in history (though probably not for long), but he's a shadow of his former self, and the Penguins need to focus on their young guys.
