The word is that him and Plekanec have had tremendous chemistry for a long time, and they've been clicking like there's no tomorrow at the World Championships. If he wanted to be on the team and at an affordable rate, he couldn't be any worse than Pouliot or Kostitsyn.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I hate the current Penguins but would absolutely love a return from Jagr if he decides to go there. Wouldn't mind any of the options that i've heard so far.

I agree with you Rich. If the Canadiens brass are really paying attention, they would be making a huge improvement to compliment Plekanec.
What caught my attention to this is when they were talking about this on TSN after the Czech USA Game.
He may be getting older, but has proven he has still got the magic, and with the right line mate, could still rack it up for however long he decides he still wants to go on. Right now it looks like he has that chemistry with Plekanec. Plus I wouldn't be unhappy at all if he winds up on a Canadian team! If he chooses to come back to the NHL that is!

I am really following this as Jagr has been and will always be my favorite player. I was disappointed when he first left the "Burgh" but still maintained my loyalty even when he went to Washington and New York. However, I dread the idea of him in a Habs Uni.
I would still follow Jagr but don't know if I could add Habs cards to my PC...... One thing I would be interested in seeing is how all my buddies who are Hab fans would embrace him after all the years they told me how bad Jagr sucks.
Would also, love the chance to see him in a mentoring role with Malkin like Lemieux was for him. I think Crosby is set but I think Geno needs that type of influence to really turn him into an Elite player on a more consistent basis.
Look forward to seeing what happens regardless.........

I would love to see him back in the NHL...but with the Minnesota Wild. Put him on a line with Koivu and Brunette or Havlat and you have an amazing combination. I know it'll never happen, but a guy can dream.

This was an article that was published from someone with a little more credibility than rob rossi who started all of this speculation.

It is from shelly anderson who writes about how jagr will likely stay in the KHL.

wait? wasn't he interested in the oilers too? cause they were wanting him like 2 years ago or something?
I do think he'll be back next year
I think he'll sign a 2 year deal somewhere, and hang it up
I think he'll go with the Pens or the Oilers

I think not coming back.Unfortunately.
It would be nice if the Rangers would play again.
He is likely to go to St. Petersburg.
