Jordan vs lebron!?
Okay, so the great debate is who is "better" LeBron or Jordan? I understand LeBron does not have 6 championships and even if he does get there he will be criticized for playing with Wade and Bosh, but he is still writing his legacy. MY QUESTION TO ALL OF YOU is Who is better as far as pure TALENT and SKILLSET? I know its hard to look past the championships that Jordan has won with a less impressive supporting cast, but I just want to know if you guys think LeBron is a better all around player than Jordan in his prime?
Jordan fans please do not get offended or angry with me for asking haha just curious what all of you think.
Let the debate begin!

You summed it up in one paragraph....Critics will be all over him for joining the Heat and abandoning the city of Cleveland to go title chasing......hopefully the debate can be focused on TALENT/SKILLSET alone.....to me Lebron James is a freakish athlete.....Jordan had the nack for scoring the ball but sometimes shot it too much and that was the ONLY thing i had against Jordan that some considered him a ball hog..but he could score from anywhere...Lebron gets his team mates involved more and can rebound better than Jordan but i can't wait to hear what everyone has to say...

Let me put it this way for all the Jordan fans...... yes I do believe MJ is the greatest player in NBA history. But as far as talent and skill set is concerned, LeBron is so much more versatile. He can take over a game and be a flat out scorer or he can distribute the ball around with much success. He can play defense on any player on the floor. He played good defense against rose last series and will most likely be placed on Dirk for crucial situations in the finals.
If LeBron had Phil Jackson as a coach and a player with the caliber of Scottie Pippen while he was in Cleveland, I believe he wouldve been on his way to a numberof championships as wellLast edited by tebowfan15; 05-30-2011 at 01:40 AM.

Can I hear an ARGUMENT from the Jordan side of this, not just putting pictures up? I am NOT talking about who is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME, im talking about talent and skill set

Don't you get it, it's not worth arguing, Jordan is better and more talented both offensively and defensively. End of Story!

I agree that he is a better scorer but definitely not a better passer or rebounder. I would love to here how he is better defensively? If anything they are tied on the defensive side of the ball even though LeBron can defend virtually any player in the league from a point guard to a center if need be
