I'll have to say if any sharks or blues fans or any hockey fans for that matter remember the hit that got Joe Thornton suspended early this season for two games, this hit reminds me a lot of it, blindside hit to the head. Should be suspended but being the SCF I doubt the NHL does anything about it which is sad....

Yup, garbage time. Benches will be 2/3 empty by the end of this game.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

6-1, 2-0 or 10-2, the series is still 2-1 for Vancouver woohoooo.
Vancouver will come back strong and win next 2games so they will win the cup at home

1 - Rome didn't hit him in the head. He hit him in the chest. Horton's head bounced off the ice. I have no problem with the call that was made, but the theatrics with the stretcher was a little much.
2 - Thomas's hit on Sedin was interference.
3 - How much interference is Chara going to be allowed in this series?

So Boston now leads the series 1 game to 2. LOL
Canucks fans, I have this advice for you - you're going to hear an awful lot of stuff about your team in the next couple of days. Pay it no mind. After the Bruins beat the Habs 8-6 in that brawlfest so much was made of them being this vastly superior mighty force of nature. A game like this is an aberration. Go back to the drawing board and stick to the game plan, and look at one important thing: win Game 4 and you're up 3 games to 1 with the next game back in your barn...and Lord Stanley's mug in the house.

Are you serious? Clear hit to the head. And not only that, but to be that disrespectful about it? Have you ever been hit that hard? He's not even moving after the hit, his eyes are staring into complete nothingness and he's taking short, quick breaths. To call it "theatrics" in regards to bringing out a stretcher for him is just downright disrespectful.
I can understand being ridiculously biased, but at least have a sense of decency...

I did like seeing Claude Julien get embarassed twice, once by Recchi and again by Lucic. Sticking their fingers in the faces of Lapierre and Burrows after their coach said the Bruins would never stoop to that...nice.

I definitely agree with you there. But maybe some of it's just built up emotion and heat of the moment stuff, which I have no doubt that it is.
Another thing I will say is that Boston is not a dynasty team; it's not built like it. Vancouver is, however; they are perenial contenders for the cup and if they don't do it this year, there's a really good likelyhood they'll be battling for the cup next year. Vancouver has superstars; Boston has a heckuva netminder and average-above average skaters. You can have the best goaltender in the world backing you up and still lose if you aren't putting pucks in the net. I really hope Boston can seal the deal this year, because I doubt they'll be this lucky next year.Last edited by wild4life; 06-06-2011 at 11:20 PM.
