Well figured I'd post my IP throughout the summer here as well.
I normally don't do a lot of baseball IP ,but I am a huge fan of Josh Hamilton. I've heard about how great of a signer he was and when I saw that Texas was coming through Baltimore for a weekend series, I decided to take a half day at work and head up to try and get Mr. Hamilton. I was hoping to get him on a 16x20 of the SI cover that he was on.
Long story short, I got to the stadium at 12:00 and was the only one around for a while. I watched as the Orioles players denied the 3 of us, and didn't even wave or acknowledge the auto graphers. I guess that is what happens when you start off the season on a good note.
So the opposing players normally get dropped off by a taxi cab or a hotel town car at the stadium and then walk in. So I am waiting by the gates and I notice a tinted window town car pull in to the Orioles parking lot (this isn't normal up until this year, as they didn't allow them down there). The security guard stops and the driver rolls down the window and says "Where can I drop him off at, its Josh Hamilton of the Rangers". At this point, the car is stopped literally 3 feet in front of me. So the car starts to do a 3 point turn and the passenger side door is facing down the ramp where they walk. So I'm thinking to myself "He's going to get out and walk down and I'm going to get him". At this point, it's only 3 of us standing there. PROBLEM IS, it started to drizzle so I'm worried that he isn't going to get out in the drizzle. So I grab my 16 and get in position.
Two minutes later, they let the car through and they drove him under the stadium and dropped him off. Golden opportunity to get him, GONE, down the ramp it went.
So after my goal for the day was gone, I proceeded to watch every Oriole not sign a single autograph, then it started raining, so that ruined the chances for the rest of the Oriole's.
So in 3.5 hours of graphing, I ended the day with ONE single autograph. Texas Rangers 2nd basement Ian Kinsler on a 2008 Allen Ginter.
Oh well, what can you do? Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Well, been a while since I posted on here. Been off on some other adventures lately non-graphing related.
In the past few weeks, I've gotten Mr. Doerr back, former Michigan and current Jet LB David Harris, and Colt Brennan for the set. That gives me 69/250.
I did have a chance to do some IP, well more like meet and greet this past weekend with a player, stay tuned for that post soon. I think you'll like it!
