    Just a 1/1 question...

Why, when I do a search for "Del Zotto" hockey cards, and sort by "highest first" do I see two separate listings, by two separate sellers, for the same 1/1 Shield? Any help would be great. Thanks.

    (search results here: http://sports-cards.shop.ebay.com/Cards-/212/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A1%257C39%253 A1%257C72%253A5050&rt=nc&_nkw=del+zotto&_catref=1& _dmpt=US_Hockey_Trading_Cards&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3 286.c0.m14&_sop=3&_sc=1 )

I honestly dont know but to me it looks like one is trying to scam or something because to me the pictures showing the Hedman shield look the same.

write to both seller and confront them. One may be able to proove he does have the card. Note that one image seem original and the other as a watermarl from a site similar to the seller name. If it's because you want to buy it I would also maybe tell Ebay and report 2 seller are selling the same card.

Some how there must be a way to figure out wich one is legit and have remove the other by Ebay. Often seller remove a item when confronted and or reported.

I'd be willing to bet that its the same company.

I could go on, but this is only what I could find in <10 minutes. Not everything is repeated mind you. Interesting that you found this.

Now that is REALLY interesting. Nice detective work!

What I enjoy are the different shipping prices depending on where I am located vs. which auction I win. I wonder where the CARD is actually located? Since I am American, it would be cheaper to win the USA auction for shipping purposes, because I will be charged $13 to ship to the US to win the Canadian auction....pretty sneaky...

They don't show listing dates for the ovechkin auctions. Is it possible that they listed it at the higher price and that listing will soon expire? So they then relisted at the lower price?

That wouldn't explain the two different seller IDs, though.

That wouldn't explain the two different seller IDs, though.

For the ovechkins, the earliest one will expire in 5 days, the latest in 22 days. Most of the ones I found show that the DACW auctions (less expensive ones) are ending in 5 days. The more expensive canadian hobbies are ending later.

That's just a freak coincidence though. Here are a pair of Lemieux Ultimate autos #2/6 that both end in 26 days. Both listed within a day of each other:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/07-08-Ultimate-C...item2565121647

I think that pretty much disproves the "soon expire & then relist" option
