Hello guys, I'm interested in the Kopitar in the link below, however the low feedback of the seller will always lead one to question. I am always weary of patch auto cards especially with significant cases of Kenny and the like. I try my hardest to do my own research through saving images of scans of all copies of the card in the print run so I can compare it on my own and avoid asking for help, but sometimes a person just needs the educated opinion of others. The knowledge people have in the hobby is astounding.

I have no idea how people fake patches, but there is a small indentation on the middle of the left border of the patch window. I am probably looking way to hard into it, but I like to be detailed.

You are all more than welcome to view the temporary Kopitar Image archive I have created, to see all images of copies in the print run that are available online, in the link below.

Here is the card in question #16/25
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/131479444036...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Here are two sales history and scans of #18/25. I can't find number 17 of 25 anywhere, so this one is the next closest. The patch on this one does resemble the patch on the one in question above, which is a good sign (of course under the assumption that number 18 of 25 is legit)

Here is a copy of #14/25. I have included this one just to create a close range to the card in question. However, there is no resemblance to the card in question above.

This would most likely be my last significant purchase (if I am lucky enough) of the year, and I want to be as sure as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I posted a message on UD's Facebook. If we get enough people to support it, who knows, they might do something.

This is not the way to handle this situation. Diplomacy and communication go a long way. Threats, not so much.

What is being asked here is for a for-profit company to either take on the expense themselves of maintaining an online database of their cards or increase the production cost to make them tamper proof. Or, they will do that and pass on the added cost of doing this to the consumer. This is all being asked to prevent stuff that happens on the secondary market. While I think we'd all like to see it, and who knows, maybe UD would be willing to work with people on this one, I don't think getting angry with them is the answer. They don't tamper with them on the secondary market, the consumer does. And for the record, the approach of contacting UD through facebook was a very constructive way to get a dialogue going.

Being relatively new to the hobby, I was surprised that UD didn't have an online database for their cards.

Even for the base cards, a simple image database that WotC has for their magic cards.

I think an online database of their patch cards would be awesome to see and would possible help move product. Plus you get to see the breakdown of the patches. They could start small and start with a Cup set and trial it.

What do you guys think about this one:

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/JEAN-GABRIEL-...E:B:SS:CA:3160

I'd like to bid on it, but that patch doesn't fit anything I know from the Sens jersey history. The only thing I could find that's plausible is that it seems to be part of a shoulder patch that was worn during All-Star games and no way Pageau would have worn an AS jersey during the photo shoot.
