Yeah there was some talk when the Jaguars were on fire that Bortles was a keeper for the Jaguars but he has really pooped the bed the past couple of weeks. Don't really know how he can stay the starter of the team especially if he puts up another terrible playoff game.

Both TRUE FRESHMAN QBs in the BCS Title game were better than BOTH starters in that Jags/Bills playoff game ... crazy ... maybe high school kids should be allowed to enter the NFL Draft!

A whole gaggle of players need to sue ... I can't imagine the NFL could win that case in court as it's age discrimination ... these kids can go to war and die but they can't get paid to play football?

They'd be safer in war than fighting the NFL union and college football betting bookies......

Age Descrimination cant be used as a means to sue.. example how old do you have to be to drink? any business can set stipulations for their jobs. No judge would touch that with a 10 foot pole, it would open to many can of worms.

I actually agree with @sportsnutz1915 no judge will touch this, they are absolutely within their right to set their own rules, if this was something that could have been contested I think it would have been long ago.

Yeah but the NBA has let that slide because several players have joined out of high school. I thought this issue was brought up in the NFL before to and was shot down quickly just can't remember who was involved in that. Daniel

I don't agree. The drinking laws are "laws", they have nothing to do with mere businesses. I don't believe you cannot discriminate on the basis of age when it comes to employment. Just as the NFL would get sued if they tried to say "40 year olds can no longer play in the NFL" they should get sued for saying youngsters cannot play in the NFL ... if a team is willing to sign a player, they should not be barred from earning a living simply due to their age.
