What happened to the success/failure threads ?

Am I missing them or have the individual sports success and failure(rts) threads been removed ? I know I had subscriptions to all of them and I don't get any email notifications and I don't see them listed anywhere.

they have been replaced by the TTM Manager. it can be found at www.sportscardforum.com/ttm.php. i'd go check it out and play around with it, i honestly love it.

Well, that sucks ! I used the ttm manager when I entered a success the other day. I liked being able to see the successes in my email notifications without having to go and search each individual sport like it is now.

Are the old threads still in existence and just archived or were they deleted after the information from them was transferred ?

the old threads are archived, we are looking to re-organize the entire forum, and when/if we are able to get that done, the success threads will be re-instituted

i would love it if the success threads came back, i HATE the success part of the TTMM its great to keep track of who ya sent to, but there seem to be a lot less successes than there were with the threads

The problem with entering successes in the TTMM without the player already being listed is that it takes more time as it ask for addresses. Those addresses are very helpful to other members of the autograph community, but many members do not seem willing to take the time to do so! Thank you to those that do as many others have been able to share your successes because of your actions! We are looking at adding in a single success/discussion thread that will allow questions on successes and successes to be posted in one thread. That may solve the issue of those who do not care to take the time to enter into the TTMM. The TTMM successes will still be listed as they are. Even in the short time the TTMM has been active you can sort out over 56 pages of successses in the baseball success thread alone and directly click on the player to get to the player page with the address and see the success rate amoungst members who logged their attempts at that address and when. Let me see 56 pages at 25 successes per page is 1400 reported baseball successes alone in the TTMM! As time goes on it will continue to grow and become an even better tool. We are looking for solutions for members who do not care for the TTMM as well. Original thoughts were that it was counterproductive to look in two places to see successes and more work to post in both places.

Now it seems a lot of people are starting their own TTM thread. Not saying this is right or wrong. Just saying it is a by product of the Success Threads being deleted.

I really enjoyed the old format. It just seemed a lot easier to keep up with. I've personally visited the site a lot less since the change.
