Ebay thief!!! Watch out!!!
(Long post but please read all and let me know what to do. Thanks.)
Here is the link to the card in question with the buyer info:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MESOX:IT
So here is the situation. I sold this card on ebay Sept 7th. Item was paid for Sept 8th. Item was shipped Sept 9th. User is now no longer a registered user on ebay and filed a paypal claim against me on Sept 20th saying he/she never received the card. I am in Canada and so is the buyer so it should only take 4-5 business days to ship. I then message a couple of the ebay sellers who left positive feedback. Here is the message I sent to them:

Dear jimglonke,
Just wondering if this member dom6987 ( Feedback Score Of 8 )100.0% filed a paypal claim against you because he did against me after he/she paid and I sent the day after. Member is no longer a registered ebay user and has a different shipping name/address listed in paypal then the his/her ebay/paypal name.
If he/she did file a claim against you please contact me. If not just ignore this message. Thanks.

Dear emersondrive13rocks,
He absolutely did - for $42.50. I went through the whole review process with PayPal and what not and submitted another US user's info as well who had been swindled as evidence that this was an attempt at theft and am now waiting for them to review and decide.
You are the first Canadian user to contact me so I know it is not just a slow customs process issue. Feel free to use my name and info in your case - sorry you have to deal with this idiot, too.

Here is what I sent back to him:
Dear jimglonke,
This person definitely is a theif and definitely got banned from ebay. How can paypal not notice that one member is filing all this claims? Both paypal and ebay are almost useless in dealing with issues like this. You would think once ebay bans someone they would contact paypal and let them know about it. Also you'd think paypal would be smart enough to realize that if someone is filing numerous claims in a short period of time that something is wrong with that buyer. Of course neither company is smart enough to put 2 and 2 together. Also neither company really cares. Actually both are the same company so yeah. I also contacted a few other people who sold to this person and will see what they say once I get a response but I'm thinking about taking legal action. Also the address listed in his/her paypal account I can't find when I search Google Maps. The closest I can find is 8026 Kipling Ave Vaughan, ON L4L 2A2 Canada while the address listed in their paypal account is 8026 kipling ave #319 woodbridge ON L4L 2A1 Canada. Anyway keep me updated and I'll keep you updated but it sucks for all when people steal from others.
Thanks for the response. Nathan

So at least 3 if not more people have been robbed by this thief. Ebay likely banned this person but paypal is dumb enough to think this person didn't receive items from multiple people all in the span of a 2 weeks!
Anyway I'm really ticked about this!!! Going to have to not sell to anyone with low feedback! Also that I why I never leave feedback as a seller until the buyer leaves me feedback. That way I know everything is perfect with the transaction is when they leave me positive feedback.

it is really too bad that both ebay and paypal can't pick up on stuff like this..or one or the other..but they sure do make sure they track those fees you owe when you sell something!!! i am sure you will come out ok in the end..but it's the whole point that you now have to go thru all of the crap now to resolve this issue..being that your a seller with over 200 sales and 100% all positive..they should take that into consideration and speed things up and just drop the issue and go after the other scumbag that caused all of this just to get some free cards...good luck..

It happened to me once to, it was 40 days after he bought a card, and the user wa banned from ebay
I recommende to ask new buyers, for tracked shipping fees, i do this now sometimes

You shouldn't have a problem getting the negative removed/ Once they are no longer registered Ebay will remove the neg , happened to me three times before.

i believe you can ask paypal and give the above information to them, to inform them he does this frequently, and i think they can review that. Just curious why you didn't use a DC#, though .80, it would save you $800 of pain. my 2 cents w/o dc# you will lose.

Canada Post is not the USPS, did you read where he is from? Canada Post does not offer delivery confirmation the way the USPS does. When I lived in Canada, you used to have to register the package at a substantial cost which requires a signature at the other end.

As someone else said, shipping internationally with tracking is extremely expensive. The registering fee is $11.60 plus the cost of shipping. Unless the card is $35+ It's hard to justify making a buyer pay for it, nor would they want to, and try and find it somewhere else.

You'd think the coordination would be better between Ebay and Paypal, considering that the former owns the latter.

I had someone do this before, he was a newer member, a ton of chargebacks and was banned. I found his address in google maps and told him that I hope he didn't use his real address b/c I'll be there this weekend (I really planned to) and then he emailed me back saying he misplaced it and no need for threats.
