I didn't notice any Hockey Heroes on the UDS1 sell sheet. Is this going to be a Series 2 only thing this year? (It's the one insert set that I will actually put together).

I love the Bobby Orr set and the Rookie Materials look like the best design they've had for that set.
I just hope all the CBJ rookies will be in since series 1 doesn't have any.

The Rookie Materials is FINALLY a nice looking card.
Now the World Junior and the Hockey Heroes? Just re-dredging up the format from 1990-1994, Bad taste and poor design, and nothing we haven't seen a million times before.
UD's age old problem? They don't have one Hockey Player/Fan on staff, they still don't get it, they still don't have a clue regarding Hockey.
Upper Deck Card designers must spend a year living in Canada, Playing Hockey, watching minor and junior Hockey, and going down the road to see games........ then maybe they'd catch on.

No Ultra this year so all the Acetate cards are in this set I guess.

You're one of the only people I've seen complain about the decision to go with the 1990-91 format as a parallel. Given your prior statements about how "today's hobby" is so fraught with problems, don't you think the retro parallel is a nice homage to a day when collecting was much simpler? I personally like the design, far more than I did the O-Pee-Chee 1979-80 parallels.
