DECEMBER 31, JANUARY 1-2 MT.Clemens Michigan Cardshow

If anyone is interested in setting up at the table with me let me know. I know (gladdyontherise) will have his own table. We can do some box breaks as this show has the best Price on the net for unopened boxes. So it definitely worth a trip to pick up some boxes or possibly singles at the dealers that set up there.
Have any questions feel free to drop a line or ask in this thread. The more the merrier as Dan likes to say.

I'll have 2 tables set up for this months show, but I can assure you that photo your showing is soooo outdated. Taylor seems to be better, but I'm going to try Mt. Clemens for the next 2 months and see if its not better. Think last Mt. Clemens show I did there wasnt 40 tables and I didnt even cover my table fees much less my hotel...I'm so hoping its better this time. Should be the only one with a red table cover.

I seriously doubt I will waste the time to drive down there unless they get someone down there signing that has never been to Michigan.
And yes that photo is from 10-15 years ago, now imagine that same picture with every 4 tables empty and 1/3 of that size.

I'm 20 minute's away, I'm on my vacation this week, Jan. 1st sounds like my day to go, Will there be a sign to know the booth you are at? Are most of these shows for mostly buying? Or can you bring some your best cards in for trading too?
I've only been to one card show ever! In the early 90's, no one wanted to trade with me,LOL, but I will surely bring some cash this time, hope to find at least one Zettybergs Rookie card on a good cash deal, How is that market at the show?
Can we take pictures with members for site posting? Hope to see ya there :) Paul

I'm excited to set up, havent done a show in awhile, most of my stuff is local guys, Pistons, Tigers, Lions, got a good amount of other stuff, but I focus on the local players.
Also will have tons of .10 cent boxes as well as .25 cent boxes and .50 cent boxes, most are all labeled by sets and everythingHidden Content

Will look for you with the red table cover. I go to buy mostly which is the reason I set up there. I always cover the table fee as it only 40 dollars. For the opportunity to buy and sell there not many shows that can compete with it.
Especially, when one can get boxes cheaper there than anywhere on the net.
Plus, some of the dealers have good deals with some willing to trade.
Well Gladdyontherise, Michigandan, and I will be there. I am sure a few more might come that go there occasionally such as Rajay and Qwikflip

I wish I was up there this month with Lidstrom and Ozzie signing. Being from a small cardshow market I just know Michgander are spoiled with this show. As I been going to it since the 80's when it opened up in Taylor. So I know all about the heyday but Sean, John, Don, Joe, and a lot of the dealers are still there. So it still one of the best sources beside the net. I never gone there without picking up something nice for my pc be it from a customer, dealer, or member who came to trade with me. Hence, why I enjoy heading up there even though it 700 miles plus roundtrip.
Heck, Puckfrmcali, P-Nut-butr, and I once did the show with Ponyboy when there was a snowstorm and we had a blast all of us setting up and selling (plus buying). As I say the more the merrier. If you have time to drop by feel free if it a inconvience not a problem.
I just know members like Gladdyontherise, Michigandan, and others never been to the show even though they lived around the area. Now they plan on going every once in a while as it a good show.

As you can see you can take pictures as I done it over the years with members. Heck, if you have some stuff you want to sell feel free to bring it buy. If it something nice I do not mind putting it in my case while you walk around or shop around. Ask anyone that dealt with me. I always prefer to trade over selling.

No your right Donnie, its still a fun show. This summer it was horrid for traffic as some of the shows, and when you've got to add a hotel into the mix (typcially 100 or so), makies it harder when your at 180 (2 tables), then if say I have 100 in sales (which the state gets their 6% off the top), I've got the cost of those cards (for me typically 60-75), so you've really got to get the sales.
Pretty sure these photos are from Taylor (which is typically either 4 rows of tables, or 6 if its big (2 rows equal one isle). Last month I think there were 3 isles, and from what know they'll only be getting bigger as some of the big ebay sellers will be coming into town since its really the only show going on.
