Sports Cards Wholesale *BOOOOOOO*
I would just like to take up this space and let others know about my recent experiences with Sports Cards Wholesale (www.sportscardswholesale.com). Let me say first off that I am completely disgusted with these people and I refuse to deal with them ever again. Lets start at the beginning...
1) Their website, while laid out pretty well, completely stinks at keeping up with inventory, it never says yes we have it, no we don't, or even a friendly, you don't want to buy this crap. God forbid you ever try to purchase something that is not in stock (ref. #2)
2) Items that are not in stock. These people must only purchase cards once every 3 or 4 months, unlike most other card/hobby places who usually restock within a week or so. If your item is on backstock, you are not informed until many days after your order where you are given a choice to replace it, my thought is that if I wanted something else in place of that, I would have ordered it. So I choose not to replace it, the first time I did this, I waited 7 weeks for the item to come back in stock with no luck, so finally I just replaced it with something else. In addition, the offered to send me a free box of cards worth $25 so I was like, ok, that makes up for it. 2003 NetPro, woohoo, selling for a whole $.99 on ebay. The second time, and definitely the most aggravating, I have (yes have, as in still am) waited 7 weeks for two boxes of cards, I have called 5 different times. All 5 times I have gotten pretty much the same line "It should be here next Wednesday and it will be shipped out then". One time I got, "well the Press Pass finally came in but then the Pro Sigs went out of stock", I thought to myself, great, my order could flip flop like this for years. So finally last week I got an invoice, and a statement that BOTH boxes of cards had shipped, showed the tracking number for BOTH boxes. Yay, they finally got shipped so I never have to deal with these people again. Pick up the box from the Post Office, open it, and ™™™, only the Press Pass are sitting in there. So it was still about an hour till they closed so I gave them a buzz, no one answered, I called 13 times in the span of a half hour (what can I say, I was mad and bored, not a good combo) and no answer any of the times. So finally this morning I called about a half hour after they opened and someone picked up on the first ring, and see proceeded to tell me that the invoice I was looking at that showed both item being shipped was imaginary and I was making it up, that she was looking at her fancy smancy computer that was telling her that the invoice only showed one item being shipped. So fine, whatever, I was tired of dealing with her, I asked when the Pro Sigs should be here, she said this week, even though I doubt it. I hang up the phone and 5 minutes later, a copy of my invoice is emailed to me, and what does it show? That BOTH boxes were shipped together, immediately followed by an invoice that shows that only one box was shipped, and she said I made it up, I would have to say that obviously disproved that.
3) Customer Service. Well, since obviously the website stinks (ref. #1) the best choice would be to call them on the phone and make your order. The people that answer the phone, which seems to be only 2 different women since they are the only ones I have ever gotten the 3274892379569424 times I have called them, they are just plain rude in my opinion, they talk to you like you have no clue what you are talking about and that they have better things to do (ref. #2). Either they lie like dogs or are completely incompetent when it comes to running that business. How else do you explain calling 4 times and getting 4 different restock dates for the same item? "It was on its way from South America and got hijacked by pirates in the Caribbean" That is the excuse I was looking for next. She actually told me this morning that "THEY forgot to ship it" I am assuming that They is Their supplier. Time to find a new supplier. Back to making your order on the phone. That way you can actually see whats in stock before you try to order it (ref. #1 & 2). When I called to replace the first order they screwed up for me, I picked 6 different items from 2004, none were in stock, 3 from 2001, none in stock, so finally I asked what do you have in stock? 1 product from 2004, 1!!! And 2001 was completely dry, all they had was a few things from 2002 and a crap load of 2003. She said "2004 should be restocked next Wednesday", hmmmm, sound familiar to anybody?
So in summary, they stink, avoid them.
Thanks for letting me vent, I needed that.

Yea, unfortunatly that happens too often. People see their prices and go for it only to find out they're horrible.

Yea, I have been using DACardWorld, and I have nothing but good stuff to say about them. Same day shipping, Customer Service is friendly and helpful, late hours, website is nice, and it usually only takes 3 days for my cards to get to me by UPS.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. Thought you wrote it in quite an entertaining way. Thanks for writing this though. I have thought of ordering from them in the past, though I haven't yet. I will definitely be avoiding them and sticking with Dacardworld or Ebay.
Thanks again for the info.
