Fun Break day - Tin of the Cup - Sweet blaster of 08/09 + more

So was not planning on buying any cards today but was at Walmart to pick up some food and I saw UD 08/09 S2 on sale for $10 for 12 packs. Normally don't buy non-hobby but what the hell right?

Best $10 box ever - Not sure who packed it but they are awesome!

So for a grand total of two of the best young guns (think when this was made) and 26 Victory Black SP cards for $10. Have you guys ever heard of a box like this before? Was it done on purpose or do you think it was an error? Would love to hear what you think!

Ok -- So now I'm on fire. Was not going to break anything but now I really want to. Head over to LCS and someone is opening a new box of black diamond. I ask if I can have the bonus pack, got it for $7.

Nothing else around that I am interested in. Ask her if she has any cases around and she has The Cup. Never bought anything from the cup before so kinda hesitant. Look at the case its not been tampered with, decide to open a box. Not a bad price. Not sure how I did but I like the cards!

Now that is what I call a killer blaster box. I seen a case break posted a while back that had a boot full of YG's and Victory Black cards for 08-09 Series 2 but never a blaster box.

As for you tin of the cup, I think you did really good. I have never opened anything from the cup but seeing the names and low print runs I give it 2 thumbs up.

Nice Cup tin with the Myers and the POE. That UD tin was crazy. The machine must have stuck in the packing process

Thanks everyone - no fools - I did buy the other 3 boxes but they were all normal - nothing of note from them so I didn't write anything. After the second pack I was like, ok, if one more has two Blacks in it then the whole box does. Has anyone ever heard anything like this?

I think I recall a Tin from that year but could be wrong.

There was a guy on the boards that hit 8 or 9 Stamkos FW /999 in one box of SP authentic

It happened a lot with 08-09 Series 2, although I had only ever seen it with retail boxes. There were retail boxes that would have a few Victory Blacks per pack, or there were ones that had a few Young Guns per pack.

Because of this though, the value of 08-09 Series 2 Victory Blacks is down considerably from where it would normally be...but still, I don't think you can complain about that.

Nice, what a rush - I will never bad mouth blasters again lol. Funny thing was I almost talked myself out of it after thinking what RC's were in it. But was like for $10 who cares. Then the Bobrovsky Ice Premiers RC, had to go big or go home. Taking pics now will be up shortly

I thought they would all be on a set print run. The printing and packaging are separate so I would assume they had a finite amount of RC's and pootched the randomness for inserting them in packs. Either way can't complain!
