Couple of ebay sellers to avoid! Scammer!

rondo4mvp9 - sent me a Demarre Carroll Crown Royale RC auto instead of this $800 Jordan/Lebron -
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200613750688

He had already given me the run-around by saying he'd addressed the first package wrong and it had been returned to him (though only when I asked where it was) and then he said he'd sent this, only to sent me something bogus. I knew I should have filmed me opening it but my battery was low. I did take some pics though.

Update - immediately after me opening the case and sending him a message he replied asking what I was talking about. Now, not long after opening the case I get a message "The seller asked us to review this case and make a final decision" - is that good or bad? I'm thinking bad because it doesn't give me time to provide more details/photos...

    The other is hoop-style.

I was looking at some of his 'game-worn' items and asked him a few questions about them. He got quite aggressive because he didn't like the questions and I should just be able to trust him because of his reputation etc etc.
    Um, yeah...
So anyway, I found this that I was looking at buying:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Aaron-Gray-2010-...item484101f1d3

And asked him for the meigray number and he came back aggressive again. Of course by then I'd found out that Gray had been traded to New Orleans well before St Pat's day, so how can this be GAME WORN.
Yet you're supposed to trust him because he says so...

ONLY BECAUSE HE ONLY JUST CHANGED IT!!!! I reported it and have posted this same thing on a few forums, plus somebody else said they'd ask him about it...
So he was willing to sell it as GAME USED and you're supposed to trust him because he says so, yet just a tiny bit on investigation proves him wrong. That's the thing - all of his stuff - how do you know if it's actually GAME WORN or just GAME ISSUED

Oh wow. So you got ripped off for an 800 dollar card?? That is crazy. I imagine it would be hard for you to take any legal action considering you are not a u.s citizen. wow.

    Mother fkers...

    Dear Graeme,

Thank you for contacting eBay in regard to item #: 200613750688.

After reviewing your unique case, I see that you recently purchased a Michael Jordan/Lebron James card from the Seller - rondomvp9. As I understand it, you raised the concern that when you received your package, you discovered that the Seller has sent you a $2 Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card instead of the Michael Jordan/Lebron James card. I am sorry to hear that you feel like you have been scammed by your Seller as you saved up a lot of money to purchase this card. I see that the Seller has purchased shipping insurance on this card, but it is only good for domestic shipments and you live in Auckland, New Zealand. I really appreciate you sending in those photos so quickly - http://s786.photobucket.com/albums/y...#37;20scammed/. They were very helpful in deciding your particular case. I imagine you are quite anxious to receive your refund as we are dealing with a very expensive basketball card, but I wanted to reassure you that we offer eBay Buyer Protection for these types of scenarios. Please allow me to explain what our options are, and what actions we are taking to get this claim resolved.

I have decided the best solution is to have you return the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card back to the seller for a full refund. This is because you have provided photos showing exactly what you received, and how it differs from your Seller’s original description. I realize that the Seller has purchased shipping insurance, but you are going to have the card returned anyway, and the insurance is only good for domestic shipments. In order to hold the seller accountable for a full refund, we must ensure that the card you received has been returned back to them first. Please complete these steps in the next 7 days to ensure that you qualify to receive a full refund:

1).Ship the card back to the seller using tracking and signature confirmation (required). This is so we can confirm that the seller has received the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card back. You can use the shipping company of your choice.

    2).The seller’s return address is:

(blanked for privacy, not that he deserves any)

3).Go to the Resolution Center and enter the tracking number from the package.

    http://resolutioncenter.ebay.com

After you enter the tracking information, you will see another page where you will confirm that the tracking information is correct. Be sure to click the “submit” button or we will not receive your information. You must enter the tracking information in order to receive a refund.

Once we have confirmation that the package has been delivered back to the seller we will refund you for $815.00 which includes the original shipping cost, within 3 days. This refund will be returned to your original funding source.

I understand it may cost you additional money to return this package to your seller. I am sorry to say that we cannot cover the full cost of the return shipping. As a courtesy, to help mitigate your returning shipping cost, we will be issuing you a courtesy coupon for $10.00 that can be applied to your next eBay purchase. You will be receiving the coupon code including additional details on how to use the coupon in your eBay messages within the next 7 days.

In summary, please go ahead and return the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card to the seller using signature confirmation (required) within the next 7 days. Once we are able to verify that it has been successfully delivered back to the seller we will process a refund $815.00 back to your original funding source within 3 days. Please keep in mind if you do not provide us with tracking within 7 days, we will assume you have decided to keep your purchase. Your case will be closed out and you will not receive a refund.

So that's just wonderful. Even though it's obvious he didn't just send me the wrong card by mistake, I have to send back using registered postage (which will cost me $41) to get my money back. HE should have to pay to have it returned, if that's what's required, don't you think??

    Update:

Just spent 22 minutes on the phone to ebay... don't think I ever want to call ebay again, very automated and you have to repeat yourself and 22 minutes on an international call... jeepers.

But anyways, they could see that I sent the 'item' back to the seller, it had been attempted to be delivered, but now he has to go and pick it up. They decided that since it now relied on him and I'd done my part, that they would close the case and start issuing me the refund. I'm relieved - I rang them because I didn't know if he'd just not bother going to pick it up and then it would be returned to me and therefore not be delivered, but it has worked out ok now...
