Full card listing (Year, Set, Player) and any attributes that may help sell it (auto, patch, etc.) - keep your shipping prices reasonable and ship quickly. Make sure to add a good photo as well. If there are flaws that are noticeable, disclose them. It's really not much different than posting cards here.

A good title is key but don't forget to have a good ending time. For instance, don't have your cards end at 3 in the morning. When I sell, I like to end on Sunday evenings, usually the highest traffic.

Offering shipping discounts for multiple cards helps. Also, for cards that will sell for greater amounts, offer free shipping. That "Free" tag is always encouraging to buyers

Always describe the card well. Fit as much as you can in the title, and use the subtitle to pick up extra key words. People search for cards in different ways, so the more relevent key words you have the more hits you will get. In the subtitle I often include the team the player is on, the card number, If it is a jersey or patch I will say how many colors the piece is.
Another thing that has worked well for me is if the player is European I put the place of birth in. I usually end up selling those cards to European collectors and get a lot more hits on them.
There is actually a lot to know, but the tips you have been given thus far by the other members above are all valuable! Good luck with your sales!

Definitely offer shipping to both the US and Canada, and consider world-wide if it's a card of a European player. Put as much of the card in the title; don't just put "Crosby auto." Put the year, set, and serial numbering, if possible. Use those characters in the title; they're the only thing people can search for (unless they check title & description).
Typically, between scanning the card, cropping it, and typing in all the necessary info, it'll take about 10 minutes per listing. You'll cut your time in half if you save your listing information and edit it along the way for specific cards. I usually just have sort of a frame of information (shipping, the wordiness part of the auction "You are looking at a .... card that was pack-pulled etc. etc." and the category selected) and edit out the previous auction's card details for the new one.

Oh, and start it at 99 cents once you've past your 50 free listings. Otherwise you'll get hit with ungodly starting fees. Those add up.

    my .02 cents is this.....

    1.) title your cards correctly.
its funny how many deals i get on cards that they misspell the players
name on that they dont realize until its too late!

2.) include players team as well.
you will get a lot more traffic for a team fan to your players card that wasnt looking for that specific player.

    3.) use photos.
not just any photos, but good photos. the first one is FREE!
i dont understand why everyone cant put a photo in the listing?
if its blurry, take a NEW photo! you cant be that rushed to sell it!

4.) if you list free shipping, cover the loss with your starting price.
the worst thing about free shipping & .99 cent auctions, is if you
only have one bidder & you end up paying someone to take your card!!
I've done that a few times, argh!!!

    5.) complete the description.
tell every thing about the card, the jersey color(s)m the serial #, the card number, the year it was put out, the manufacturer & set, etc., the condition of it, the auto description; clean, skips in ink, run-offs, smudges, sticker, hard signed.

    6.) be a salesman.
sell it like its the best thing ever!
let them know you have more & other auctions they would like to see!
offer incentives, buy 5 get one FREE! let them know how the card will be packaged.

    7.) communicate with everyone!
ask if they need additional photos.
let them know when you want to be paid.
let them know when the card will be shipped.
let them know when the card ships.

    8.) provide tracking.
track the card. dont let someone say they never got it.
dont loose your money. follow the sellers policies to cover your butt.

9.) figure out when the auction ends.
you dont want your Taylor Hall RC auction ending,
when the Oilers home game is just getting started in the 3rd period!
