Panini Peek: 2011-12 Prime
http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...-prime-hockey/
The industry’s first game-worn hockey helmet decal cards? Check. The industry’s first hockey sweater lace cards? Check. One Rookie Auto Quad card numbered to 199 or less, one multi-memorabilia card, one autograph and an additional autograph or memorabilia card in every five-card pack? Check.
Clearly, Panini America’s 2011-12 Prime Hockey is — pardon the pun — primed for a staggering debut.
Prime Ties and Collision Course, the aforementioned history-makers, represent the innovative edge of this new release, but there are several other bells and whistles sure to appeal to hardcore hockey hobbyists, including:
- Prime Rookies NHL Shields
- Prime Rookies Auto Quad Memorabilia cards
- Prime Combos Duals and Quads
- Prime Signatures
- Captains Cloth cards incorporating the captain’s “C” from select game-worn jerseys
- Genuine Marks, the first autographed, game-used nameplate letter cards
- All-Star Signatures incorporating autographs signed on NHL All-Star Game locker nameplates
Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for more details on this exciting addition to the Panini America product calendar. But until then, enjoy this exclusive first look.

I see elements of UD(SPGU, OPC Premier, and Ultimate), and ITG(Superlative, and Captain-C) in there. I'm inclined the call it a rehash, but it looks like they took elements that were successful in those products and combined them into one.
We will see how this turns out once it hits the shelves(in the late stages of Summer

The Captain's Cloth is a stunning card. Very innovative.
But where have I see it before? Alas Captain-C.
Boy would we take flack if the shoe was on the other foot.

lol
Very true. I am looking to find the Niedermayer ones you have made from Captains-C.
I do like the Prime Ties but I have a feeling it will not even look close to the promo pic they put up.

iam not really impressed. i do like the look of the all star autos, but it seems like they put shields in every product.

Over produced Shields as we come to expect but this product looks nice. Could give UD a run for its money in the higher-tier products.
When the product is live then we can truly tell.
But I do hope they slow the shield productions down.Last edited by Yipper; 04-17-2012 at 06:56 PM.
