30,000 Scientists Rejecting Global Warming Hypothesis
Interesting news today.
The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM) will announce that more than 31,000 scientists have signed a petition rejecting claims of human-caused global warming. The purpose of OISM's Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of "settled science" and an overwhelming "consensus" in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climate damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.Additionally, there is a study that says global warming not worsening hurricanes. But who cares about facts. Al Gore knows better.
It is evident that 31,072 Americans with university degrees in science - including 9,021 PhDs, are not "a few." Moreover, from the clear and strong petition statement that they have signed, it is evident that these 31,072 American scientists are not "skeptics."

Everybody knows it doesn't matter what scientists say...if CNN says it's true, then by God it's gospel!

Actually Bush says it's true so it must be he has been SOO right to this point.. If you don't think that all the CO2 that we are putting into the air is helping destroy the enviroment and all the smog and destruction of forests etc. isn't hurting the globe than that is your right to believe as you wish.

and as I pointed out for every 30,000 that don't believe there are another 30,000 who do so maybe Bush, Gore, Mccain are not wrong..

My link is from this week. Your link is from Feb, 2007. No where in your report does it state 30,000 scientists. But let's take a look at the main points:
It is "very likely" -- a 90 percent chance or better -- that burning fossil fuels caused unnatural temperature increases over the last half-century.
Wow! Very general. Caused unatural temperature changes? No specifics at all. I could say that building highways and laying cement for sidewalks has caused an "unatural change" on the earth. What does that mean?
Temperatures are likely to rise from 2 to 11.5 degrees by 2100. (The world has warmed about 9 to 12 degrees since the depths of the last ice age 20,000 years ago.)
"Likely" to rise? We can't predict the weather next week, but these guys can predict 90 years form now? I can say "likely" for things also. Can I have billions of dollars please? :)
Sea levels are likely to rise 7 to 23 inches by the end of the century, although an additional rise of 3.9 to 7.8 inches is possible.
There is that "likely" again! Even better this time "likely possible" :)
Oceans will keep growing more acidic.
Arctic Sea ice will disappear by 2100.
There are those 90 year predictions again! Do I need to show those "Coming Ice Age" predictions from the 1970s?
Desertlike conditions will expand in the Sahara, South Africa, and Mexico. In general, poor countries will take the worst direct hits.
These desserts formed well before humans drove cars.
The number of hurricanes will decrease, but stronger storms are likely.
Disproven in my recent thread here.
So, your data is well over a year old and most of the "facts" are likely predictions.

Why does it matter what Bush says, in general or in this thread? We're not talking about politicians, we're talking about scientists. That's how the problem begins in the first place, people listen to politicians and the media instead of actual science.
and as I pointed out for every 30,000 that don't believe there are another 30,000 who do so maybe Bush, Gore, Mccain are not wrong..
And for every 30,000 that do, there are 30,000 that don't...that argument works both ways, but proves absolutely nothing for either. If 30,000 agree and 30,000 don't, that means that we have no clue...so I don't want my tax money paying for anything to do with it if we have no clue about it.

Great point! A far cry from the "global consensus" we hear so much about.

Uh huh...and how many of them are in the field of "Intelligent Design" or other such blatantly unscientific falsehoods?
