Playoff Prestige is typically the first football release of the year by Donruss. One of the great things about Prestige is that it is usually the first set to display on what team the rookies were drafted or if they are free agents at time of printing. This is always a nice additional for team collectors who may not be up to date on what their favorite team has done in the off-season.

For set collectors, Prestige is great as you always get a complete base set in your hobby box. But in the same vein, 24 packs of 8 cards becomes tedious and does take away some of the enjoyment which is why the Fun Grade was a little lower than everything else. With that said, for what you receive in a box of Prestige is well worth the money invested as well as in a nice enough price range to grab another box. I’m a huge fan of white background cards that focus on the player’s picture, not numerous design and colors that detract from the photo.

Thanks once again to the fine folks at Donruss/Playoff for providing us with this box of 2008 Playoff Prestige. Looking forward to the opportunity of SCF being able to do this again in the future.
