    NBC channel is GONE!

I can't believe it. I've lived almost 26 years of my life with the NBC channel. But, Time Warner Cable in Austin, Texas is no longer airing NBC channel. According to Time Warner, KXAN, which broadcasts NBC where I live, wants to charge Time Warner for a free signal. Time Warner refused to pay for a free signal. So, LIN TV pulled KXAN/NBC from Time Warner. Honestly, it would cost Time Warner less than a penny a day to pay. Both sides are morons.

Now I have to watch Heroes on NBC.com. Now I can't watch Sunday Night Football! No Chuck. No Leno & Conan.

I still get MSNBC and CNBC.

Wow whats next interrupting the Superbowl with the movie Heidi???

Can't believe they dropped a major network channel. Glad I still get it . Then again I love to watch football on the NFL Network during their replays of the week.

Both sides have been airing silly ads for many weeks. I really thought they would negotiate a deal before October 2nd...but it obviously didn't happen!

They'll probably come around soon with a deal after a lot of people complain. But that is wild...I couldn't imagine TV w/o NBC, ABC, or CBS. I don't watch any of them a whole lot (except for NCAA/NFL), but they're the foundations of all TV as we know it. I remember when those were the only 3 channels we got!

same thing is happening here in Indy with CBS affiliate and one of our cable providers. I don't have that provider but the big part of the issue is that CBS carries almost every Colts game.

I'd just break out the rabbit ears to get a network channel that wasn't offered by a provider.

There is a lot of bickering here in this area about Fox being taken away for the same reasons as well.

I had to quote you though star_Cards because you will have until February 17th 2009 to do the rabbit ears situation as well LoL. Then that option is out the door.
