Yea....it all makes sense now. Why would a team contending in the West move one of their better guys for a couple of guys who wouldn't do much for them? You can call it "cutting costs" all you want, but I figured there was something more to it......now we know.

Looks like New Orleans tried pawning off a guy who's got bigger problems than everyone else knew about for ANYTHING at the time.

This partially explains why Tyson has been off this season, though. Not a major injury, but something that can take a player off his optimal game. I was wondering whether or not he had some minor nagging injuries all season..

I haven't noticed any slow down in Chandler's play recently, so turf toe must not be major? (Never heard of it lol.)

On the same page It talks about Cleveland trying to dump Wally for better players like R Jeff and Jamison. And they say the Wiz have to add another player to make a trade good? Wow, luckily Wizards are smart (about this anyway) and want more than just Wally.

Not sure how serious turf toe is to basketball players. It still will limit your running. Turf toes has knocked out football players for games and lingered throughout the season.

I wonder if the Hornets knew about this before negotations.

They probably did. Tyson was one of their defensive anchor and decent on offense too.. why trade him for nothing in return if something else wasn't going on... (that something else might not necessarily be the turf toe, but I bet there was something else)

I'm sure it has the same effect in bball because you have to cut and make sudden moves with your feet all the time and you primarily use the toes to pivot or cut.
