Since No One Posts In The NCAA Forums...
I'll sound off here. Everyone is jumping on the Big East right now that it is a joke that Pitt, as long as we beat South Florida next Saturday, will get a BCS bid.
Let me ask this... where were these guys when FSU with a 4 loss season got the automatic bid for ACC? They're reasoning behind that was ACC was such a strong football conference. Oh really? I'm sorry... I failed to notice the ACC Championship game is matching up the 2 Big East teams from last year! I'm sorry... I failed to see that Pitt not only has 1 less loss than FSU, but have also beat 3 Top25 teams while FSU beat ZERO that year.
Pitt deserves this BCS bid just like any team before them has got an automatic conference bid!

I was thinking about you Iggy once I heard pitt has the chance for the automatic Bid, they definetly deserve it ESPECIALLY SINCE they reviewed this last year and ruled to keep the automatic bid in the Big East, they didnt want to revoke it, the BCS committee wanted it in.

Well, we do have a SLIGHT advantage there :D
The Commish of the BCS is also the Commish of the Big East. I was never worried about The Big East losing it's automatic bid because of that reason alone.
I just hope they get it done this Saturday vs South Florida. If they do, they will get the bid and definitely deserve it. They're a young group of kids (only 5 starters are seniors and 1 of them MIGHT be back with a medical redshirt) who are fun to watch. Once again, we have one of the best WR's in the nation in Gregg Lee... a guy many of you probably never heard of. He was an unrecruited kid from Tampa who Pitt offered a scholarship to after happening to see him at a basketball game when they were recruiting someone else. He isn't Larry, yet, but this is his first year starting and has no one else receiving with him. We also have one of the best young QB's in the nation. When he came out of HS a couple years back, he was a Top10 QB recruit. This is his first year starting and gets better each game. He is also a REALLY tough guy (see Rutgers game when he ran over a linebacker).
A Pitt vs Utah matchup on New Years Day Primetime at the Fiesta Bowl would be a great game. I just have to find a way I can afford the trip...

Pitt vs. Utah...ahhhh, that'll be a great one to see. I didn't even think Pitt had a chance till Friday when I saw Pitt could be there if BC lost.
