Lance Armstrong is 1 second from the lead, and it's the mountain stage now, where he is strongest.

I'm sorry... I don't buy this whole thing about him being great because he came back from cancer.
He had Testicular Cancer which isn't all that serious. Your testi will swell up into the side of a melon before it spreads so you'll be able to catch it while it's still in its early stages. All he did was have surgery and take his medicine... what's so special about that? I could understand if he was doing this all while winning the Tour de France, but this all happened long ago.
He's a great cyclist but he's not even better because he survived cancer.

Iggy, surviving cancer is a big deal. Anyone that can survive any type of cancer and then come back and perform as an athlete the way he has deserves a standing ovation.
