I am really shocked that the 2010 Element went live on Friday (January 22) and yet.....

WHERE ARE ALL THE POST FROM SCF MEMBERS WHO BROKE BOXES?

The "Haves"......the "Wants".......

I watch the other forums (Football, Baseball and Hockey) and am amazed that when a new product is released the boards go crazy with what was pulled....with what is needed.

....and not sure what is happening to normal everyday post, but it use to be you could post an item up for trade and get three or four replies or PMs the same day. Now you post something up and it seems like you NEVER get a response, or you get offered the same ol' stuff that you said "no thank you" to a week before.

Is the NASCAR Forum a thing of the past?

Thats a good question and sometimes I feel the same. Well...the racing forum does not have nearly as many members as forums such as the football.

I dont think its a thing of the past....I just think we are using the PM's a little more?
But I agree you dont get many responses....I had a hockey autograph because I bought a hockey blaster....posted it and in less than 15 minutes I had a deal with someone for it. So I dont know either.

I dont know about this site, but on another racing site we have members posting up alot of breaks and wants and trades being done since the day it was released. Over 2 cases have been busted and posted so far. I dont think racing is dead, it think it just has to do with who bust what and where they are.

Assuming you mean NUTS....yes they are!....I'm a member...just don't spend much time there since I have only a few high end cards.

Also, you have to remember, the product only went live on Friday so anybody that was in the case break won't get their boxes most likely until Monday.

That's one of the problems with not buying from your local hobby stores (if you can even find a store that sells racing). You can usually get your boxes the same day, but you usually pay a bit higher price then buying from the case break and waiting a couple of extra days to get it.

Agree with Les. The boxes/cases that were broken over on NUTS were bought directly from a LCS and so they posted the day of release.

I am sure by Tuesday or Wednesday there will be a lot of breaks posted. Mine will have to wait until next week probably as it takes longer having to go through customs and all.

As for the not getting any responses to trade posts, it could be that no one has any new stuff, or they have been rejected for what they have offered previously and figure there is no sense in rehashing things.

I actually get my boxes from another member of SCF. He opened a case and convinced me I needed at least once box. Glad he did!

Guess I forgot that there are a few case breakers on here that are waiting for their boxes.

As far as the LCS is concerned, I might pick up a pack or two from the LCS, but the boxes are usually $20 to $30 higher than I pay when I get them from my friend.

On this product I was lucky to get a box at $74...but the LCS has already said it will be above $90 if I want a box (but again the LCS only picks up one or two boxes of NASCAR).

I also agree with Les that alot of folks here get their boxes via the case breaks. I know I am awaiting mine!!! My LCS takes forever to get new releases in and always marks them way up. Good thing is that I have been a loyal customer for years and he is a friend of the family so I always pay Les's price plus $5 usually on boxes I buy there.
