How about those Bobcats?
Watched the San Antonio at Charlotte game last night. They blew out a Western Conference contender, and they've won their last 6 home games. ESPN's stat tracker has them giving up the fewest points in the league (92.9 points per game). Larry Brown is doing good things with the team. Hopefully those arena seats will start filling up. There's a huge basketball market still licking its wounds from the Hornets' exodus. My Bobcats gear doesn't feel like a scarlet letter this week.

They have improved mightily this season - even without the acquisition of Stephen Jackson, I still think they'd be close to what they are currently, but Jackson sure hasn't harmed them. They look like a legitmate playoff team, and they could be like the Warriors of 2006-07 who knocked off the Mavs in the first round. They are that good.

Yeah, I don't know about playoffs, but they're definitely better. I'd put them in the "They don't suck as bad as last year" category.

Well that is very much the case! :-) I pegged them to get into the playoffs prior to the season beginning...we'll see if my predicition is accurate in a few months!

I thought they had a solid team last year actually, but this year, they could make some noise if they make the playoffs.

The Bobcats and Thunder are great teams to watch.. Since they are both underrated and get no national time. But i hope at least one of them make the playoffs. If the Thunder cant make it in the west, i hope Charlotte get in a surprise some team lol

Speaking of those Bobcats...they demolished the Suns tonight 125-99, outscoring them 43-22 in the first quarter.

Nathan thanks for rubbing it in!!!! But yeahh Charlotte looks to be a 7 or at least 8 in the east this year. They have a pretty solid team in Wallace, Diaw and Felton at the point. Last year they just came up short by a few games. Now that whats his name has got them playing defense they need to stay healthy and they will be alright!!
