Rare Reggie Jackson autographed
1997 Donruss Signature Series
Significant Signatures
Reggie Jackson
Signed in silver ink (the vast majority of the 2000 card run were signed in black ink, at least to my understanding)
A few notes on the transaction:
- I would like to do a blind auction where you PM me your bids, since I'm not certain how accurate my pricing info is on the card.
- The card is currently ungraded; if you'd like a grading before any transaction takes place, let me know. If you are unsatisfied with how it grades out, you obviously have the right to retract your bid. I'd then start the process over again.
- Once you make the bid, I won't negotiate the price. You either agree to pay that price, or you retract your bid.
- For bidders that have met the 20 trade threshold here without any problems, I will follow the standards set forth by the site (I'll ship first and receive payment after you've received the card). For those who are under the 20 trade threshold, or who I feel are a risk, we will negotiate a mutually agreed upon manner of completing the sale (most likely through an agreed upon holding entity). I will honor any credibility you have accrued on another site (as well as that site's trading standards) so long as the site is legitimate, and I feel comfortable with their standards.
- I will consider trades, but I'd much, much prefer money. Any trade offers will have to be of a significantly larger monetary value than the card I'm auctioning off.
- I have an idea of what I want to set as the reserve, but I will only disclose the reserve after the auction is over, and only upon request.
- Finally, and importantly, I have a possible buyer in the area that I'd prefer to sell to face-to-face. His willingness to pay for the card depends on the price, but I haven't set a price since I'm unable to find any history of sales or trade of the silver ink variety of this card. I will give him the first opportunity to match the high bid.
The auction period will end in 2 weeks on Saturday January 30, at 3:00 PM Central. I will consider bids after this time, but you do so with a very significant risk of not being considered. I will only reveal the winning bid after the transaction is complete, and only with the winning bidder's permission.
Note to the mods: I don't know what your exact privileges are, but if you are able, feel free to monitor my PMs to assure that I am not being dishonest in the auction process. I ask that you don't use this ability to gain an advantage in the bidding process for yourself or anyone else. If you plan to bid, please don't look through the PMs until after the auction period is over (before the final transaction is fine, though).
Below are pictures of the card. Sorry for the poor quality. I'm not experience in grading cards, but the only imperfection I'm able to discern is that the bottom right corner is a bit frayed. I tried to show that in the third picture.
